What is the brand? This is not unheard of. The recommended service interval for my wife's 325 is 15,000 (I believe BMW recommends Castrol Synthetic). To me that is just crazy, I drive my car pretty hard and would never go 15,000 miles without an oil change.
Just talked to my bud and he said it was a Mobil synthetic oil that lasts for 15000, he said it wasn't Mobil1 though....not sure exactly which type of Mobil.

I had trouble getting my car up on the ramps too. Eventually I bought some lengths of 2x4 that I'd cut to an appropriate length and put them between the wall of the garage and the bottom of the ramps, kinda like:

wall-------2x4------Rhino Ramp

And so when I'd drive up onto the ramps they couldn't move.

However, what I've found to be easier now is to just use a trolley jack to jack up the front of the car, and slide the ramps underneath when the car is lifted. Then I can take the jack away and drive the car down when I'm ready. Saves me having to use the planks of wood, and much easier than having to use stands under the front.
