Ruff Wheels

I have been looking for wheels lately an I came across these they look like epensive rims but they are pretty cheap. I searched around a little bit and saw a couple guys on here had them. Post some pics and let me know how they are working out for you. Is is a quality wheel?

I had them on my Z for a while, great wheels for the money! Well made too with nice lips.

I had ordered them from Edgar at Need4speed and they showed up quickly.

The German company is spelled RUF with one "F". These must be a different company, that's why they cost less. They do l;ook goo though.

I got the RUff 278s, and so far, like you said, they look great, build quality has not been an issue (no issues with balancing/rotating when i put on new tires), cheap, etc. . .the lip is not clear coated, so ur gonna have to sand down that aluminum lip at times and polish it. i haven't weighed one yet, but just from lifitng one up, it doesn't "feel" particulalry heavy. i got pics up in teh g35 sedan gallery. gluck

Mine are 63.5lbs each for the rears and 57lbs for the fronts. Definately heavier than the stock wheels but haven't noticed any performance degradation at all even with gas mileage.

what are their prices compared to SEVAS? they look quite similar and I think it would come down to the weight and the prices..

I have had mine on for about a 1.5 years No problems with them. the bummer is that they only come in 35 mm offset which makes my staggered 19x9.5 rear a tight fit.

you can see pics of them here http://www.tcphotos.com/showroom_mod...=34&secid=20&t

Shodog, Did you roll/cut your fenders to fit those rears? What springs do you have?

I had to roll the fenders and I am using an eibach pro kit. I would have rather went with a linear rate spring but I needed to please the wifey.

I have pretty much the same as liukai = rims (278 in hyper black) and size (245-35-19 with 19x8.5). I use Mothers mag & aluminum polish for the lips when needed, so far works great. I also used the wheel wax to help them last a bit longer. As for weight, I weighed them with the tires when I took them off for winter and they are 55 lbs with tire in my size. The stock rims with winter tire is 48 lbs which I think is about the same as with the stock tire. So the Ruff 278 19x8.5 is about 5 lbs heavier than stock sport 5 spoke 17x7 rims (Tire Rack says my tires make up the other 2 lb of the 7lb difference).

As for the pic, it still needs to be lowered, but I'm waiting for spring on that.
