Rubber Time... What are you guys gettin?

So I new tires damnit!!! I hate when this happens. The stock Goodyear Eagle NCT5's have had it and I'm gonna need new rubber by Christmas.

I got the 2005 18" Sport Wheels (235/45-18).

Any recommendations for a tire this size... I've been pleased with the performance of the NCT5's but I think they should have lasted alittle longer (30k) and they are quite pricy!

Specifically, I've been lookin at the Kumho ECSTA SPT's. They are very well priced and seem to have GREAT reviews. A few people here are runnin them.

Just put Kumho ECSTA ASX on - so far so good... minimal noise, good ride comfort and very good handling (especially compared to the OEM Bridgestone Turd-anzas. Price is great (114 ea)... kept 17" - went 235/50/17

BTW, was approaching 30K on the Bridgestones - could have got another 5-7K out of 'em though.

You're in Atlanta. I know Atlanta occasionally has snow. If you're considering all-seasons and don't mind spending the cash, I'd recommend Michelin Pilot Pilot A/S. They feel great and handle/stick almost as well as the Goodyear Eagle DS-3 summers I used to drive on. You might also want to check out the Avon A/S 550 tires on tirerack.com. They have received a lot of good reviews, and are significantly less expensive than the Michelins.

Kumho and Falken are reasonable priced. However, they are both rated at 30K because they are V-rated tires. Need to look at 245/40/18 tire size.

Just went from Nitto 555's to Falken FK-452's and have been very happy with the 452's. The wet traction is way better and the dry is about the same.

My oem Bridgestones have a treadwear rating of 140. Were your oem Bridgestones the Turanza EL33s? I just figured with that low of a rating that I would be lucky to get 20k miles of out them.
