G35 not your average SUV

I often joke that my G35 is a Hummer disguised in a sport sedan. The gas mileage is terrible, but the rpm's are awesome! If you bought an M3 you would be paying 20k more and you won't hit that cost in gas. Plus- its not a G.

Infinti should be sued for this crap.. That is huge misrepesentaion of gas mileage....

I had the car for one day and im already thinking about selling it. The way i drive my cars Im going to get 13 mpg and that is no way to be.
my 328is bmw that i had ,about as fast as the G35 i, when driven lightly will easily get 23-24 in the city and around 30 on highway. when driven hard will still get 18 in the city..... so wtf is with infinity? its not 350 hp engine....
a gs400 lexus will get 19 mpg in the city and around 26 highway,,,and that thing puts down 310 lb of torque and 300 hp,,,,, so WTF???

so far: a big thumbs down for G35
Sell it and get a civic, im sure u will have better MPG with it.

Yes, the G has horrible MPG, you should have done your research before buying the G if fuel efficiency is so important to you. Yes it doesnt not offer super performance for such MPG, but most people who bought it are not really concerned about such matter.

No, your MPG seems perfectly normal, and yes lots of other car with higher performance has better MPG, but since G35 sedan is a sport sedan, fuel efficiency should be of much concern.

update: got 17mpg in the city after cleaning MAF sensor, also filled up with 92 with no alcohol blend fuel. I did put the medal to the floor often during this test.
