Hey Guys,

I'm new to this forum and i've been wanting an 07 Sedan for the past weeks, but I drove by the Infiniti dealership in Thousand Oaks, CA and noticed that they were advertising this deal.

What do you guys think? Is getting $5000 bucks off the MSRP of a new 06 sedan worth it? or should i just pay more for an 07?

I dont quite know all of the features of an 06 and i dont know what the main differences are...

Thanks for any input..

i got my 05 sedan with everything but Nav and Sat. radio for $36 otd, now that the 07's are out, you should be able to get an 06 for $33 otd, if not, then i'd just spend more on the 07, it's an amazing car, even more so than the 06.

You should be able to get at least 20-25% off MSRP. Which would equate to around 6-7K off. When I got mine @Jan 05 the MSRP was 35K I got it 33 out the door, or around 30K even. So 5K off off an 06 when they have the new version of the car out seems off should be able to get 7K. I got mine at Parkway in Valencia...Good dealer worked directly with the sales manager. I felt I got a good deal and didn't have to work too hard to get there. Hope it helps and with whichever one you go with youll love it.

If I were buying today, I'd buy an 07 for MSRP. Personally, I think the improvements are worth it.

id def go for the 07... new body design, touch screen navi that controls audio and climate.. a bit of a better bose stereo system... stock brakes are huge.. its a little quicker and the paddle shifters if you go automatic sport... saving a bit of money on something youre gonna eventually wanna change is pointless.

If you are going to finance you might as well get the 2007. I would not want to be making payments on a car that has been around since 2002 three years more or less from now it will not be paid for till 2010!

I'm new to the forum as well.
I got my Sedan (6MT) for 6k off of MSRP. They are wheeling and dealing.
Drive both cars and see which one you like!

My take on this one is nobody can deny that 7 grand off a brand-new '06 is decent. I think it boils down to whether a person wants it or not. If you don't need latest/greatest, the '07 doesn't matter. If you're keeping this vehicle, the resale doesn't matter. I got 6k+ off my Maxima and I still have it, so what it's worth in trade doesn't matter (like 3k? for a 98 fully-loaded).

But it's not worth it if it's not what you really want. My buddy bought a GS300 under those circumstances, got rid of it in 18 mos. and got a 328i, and then got a 330i ZHP, and now is considering a M3 convertible due to the discount. All the money he lost in depreciation on these various cars could have paid for my new car. So be careful of buying because of discount only....my .02
