Re: Can our cars burn AUDI A4's?
I almost bought an S4 rather than the G. The S4 is 250HP stock. For a $700 computer upgrade, you're making 300HP. With a $1200 downpipe upgrade (on top of the computer), it's like 330HP. Then you can start our kind of mods, ie intakes, exhaust, and the like. Now lets talk about upgraded turbos.
The new A4 1.8T can be a mean F#%*er too. With little cash layout you're making in the range of 300hp in a car that is light, and has AWD.
Oh, and there are a few people who used things like the RS6 turbos and injectors ect on thier S4 to make about 490hp out of thier car's 2.6L motor with a wide, flat torque curve.
The new S4's shoehorned a 4.2 V8 into what is effectivly a glorified jetta. It's noseheavy, is very difficult and expencive to modify, and even wit it's V8 against a M3's V6, the M3 still beats it. I think Audi made the same mistake the diamond star did when switching the eclipse from a turbo 2L to a N/A 3L. Turbos are easy to make power with, and that's what builds an aftermarket... and a strong aftermarket sells cars.

Re: Can our cars burn AUDI A4's?
A4stock < G35 stock.
S4 stock > G35 stock
S4 stock < G35 modded
Now, 2000 S4 with ECU, exhaust and short shifter ran 13.9 (1/4mile) and crazy driver with similar mods and 100 octane should run 13.6-13.7 raising RPM to at least 4000.
So G35 even auto with i/h/e, ECU and TQ conversion will be equal if not smoke S4 with good traction of the line. In addition, adding supercharger with at least 8lbs of boost or turbo G35 will break 12sec, changing internals on the top off what I listed hehe, you looking to mid to low 12sec then raising the boost you're in 11s easily.
