If you're asking about the tires fitting on the wheels yes they will fit. If you're asking about fitment to your car that's not an issues at all.

Do you guys know why people set front tire higher than rear tire. For example, front tire 225/45/18 and Rear tire 245/40/18.

225/45 is shorter and 245/45 is taller than OEM. why not just use 235/45/18 all around and you'll have a perfect set up for it?

225/45 is not shorter than OEM and 245/45 is not taller than OEM. the number that tells you how tall is the "45".....45 is OEM so both are same height, 225 and 245 refers to WIDTH of tire.

It doesn't work that way. The 45 in your example above is not a measurement, it is the aspect ratio of the tire. So for example, the height of a 225/45 is 45% of 225 millimeters and the height of a 225/35 is 35% of 225 millimeters.

So, a 245/45 is taller than 235/45 is taller than 225/45.

I would go with the setup Chico describes above. When it comes to wheels and tires he is definitely one of the gurus.

235/45/18 is the OEM spec and will fit the best on a 8" wheel. The 225 will be a bit stretched and more tucked in the front and the 245 in the rear will bulge over the rim. BTW, here are the diameters for the respective tire sizes.

225/45/18 25.9
235/45/18 26.3
245/45/18 26.6

I second that. He will not steer you wrong.

235/45 and be done with it. It will fit the rim the best and look the best on an 18x8" rim. I've ran 225/45 on an 18x8 and it does have the stretched look.
