Guys....the inevitable has happened.......
Last night at 5am, I was coming home from working late and there was a sick rain storm here in socal Rancho Cucamonga. I was going 60 on the 210 freeway due to the heavy rain and before I was able to react, my car spun 180 into the wall hitting my driver side front end, then spun again in the other direction and hit my driver side rear end. I am guessing I hydroplaned and was screwed from the start. Balding, summer tires in low temperature weather in the rain do NOT mix. Just becareful in this rain guys, and if your tires are bald...get some new ones immediately and stay off the freeways! Thank god I was the only car involved an I am not hurt by any means. My heart is broken but that can be mended. My car is broken but that can be fixed. I learned my lesson and really humbled up since last night, barely getting any sleep and having nightmares and flashbacks. Just as a note, my VDC was on but that coudln't do **** in such a short period of time and no I was no drunk, I was working. I don't think I am going through insurance because I am 2 months away from meeting the good driver requirement and that will help me in the long run. I am estimating that the damages are 3000 and am working with my buddy that owns a bodyshop to work out some number. It was asuch a scary feeling now having ANY control of your vehicle and letting physics take its course...becareful guys.

ouch... sorry to hear about your incident. ya you really have to be careful driving in the rain no matter it its raining hard or not. slick roads are a b*tch. us cali drivers take it for granted that it is almost always sunny and the roads are dry. g/l with the repairs.
Ouch. Use a little grey duct tape and it will look great.
I know the feeling. While still waiting on my G, and after having sold my newer V6 Altima, my wife wrecked my tricked out Excursion, so now we are driving a rented Ford Taurus.
Better to drive a wrecked G than a new Taurus. Good luck on those repairs.

Wow, the damage looks pretty significant, but at least you were able to walk away from it. The damage looks mostly cosmetic, but that entire rear 1/4 will have to be replaced. I'd say the damages will exceed $6K.
After seeing multiple quotes from other ppls accidents, I'm guessing the damage is about 10k.
I don't understand this pricing though, since the costs of lights/fenders/bumpers/repaint is no more than 5k.

In my case they also had to replace the rack & pinion, the left front upper and lower suspension, and the wheel. There was a ton of other plastic that was cracked that had to be replaced too.
Spun-out...........Ouch!
Let's see '04 G Sedan and you were probably running on Bridgestones that
as you put it "Bald." You were an accident going somewhere to happen.
Weigh the cost of your accident against the cost of a new set of good tires.
