wheel bolt replacement

How difficult is it to replace wheel bolts? Reason: Installing 5mm spacers with extended bolts which were included in the package.

Just hammer them out one by one turning the rotor towards opening at the back. Pop new ones in then torque them down to make sure they are fully seated inside. Then install wheels.

every time i've replaced wheel studs, i've taken off the rotors. There's less in the way and its easier to work with.

Trust me, you are gonna need to remove your calipers and rotors....it makes life so much easier...

Although it can be done, I wouldn't recommend using a hammer or any impact tools to pop the bolts out.... I used a large 3-prong heavy duty gear puller to press the lug bolts out.... you'll need more tools/items but you'll run less chance of cause unwanted bearing wear/damage.....

Oh...sooo....Im better off getting a mechanic to do it huh...I really don't have the time to remove disc and calipers and so on. I was looking for the quick method.

How about if I used a rubber mallet instead of a hammer?

Rubber mallet is even worse at trying to get those studs out....

Pressing them out is the best for DIY... to pull them in, use a bunch of thick washers that barely clear the stud diameter and then use spare wheel nut to tighten studs....
