'06 Sedan AT Oil Consumption Gathering

Hi All,

I've done quite of bit of research on the oil consumption for the VQ35DE engine, and concluded that the most severe excessive oil consumption typically happen on the Rev Up version of the VQ (equipped with manual transmission). With a full understanding that, there are quite few threads in this forum talk about this same subject. I just want to gather some data on the '06 Model with Automatic Transmission Only.

It will be very helpful, if you can input the following information in the format below:

1. Current Odometer Reading
2. Oil Change Interval
3. Oil Brand & Viscosity
4. Rate of Oil Consumption [miles per quart of oil used]

As of 4/18/07:
So far we have 67 voters, and still have ~20% of us having concerning to "somewhat concerning" consumption rate.

For those who voted to "Less than 1000 miles per quart of oil used" & "1000 to 2000 miles per quart", what was your break-in method?

1.Drove like you stole it.
2. Drove normally as if no break-in is required.
3. Per Owner's Manual Recommendation.
4."Moto-man" Method.

Your input will be greatly appreciated. And hopefully, we can see if different kind of break-in method does or does not affect oil consumption.
