Donuts

Why is it so hard to do donuts in the 6mt sedan? My 240sx se had no problem.

Is the car to heavy or is it the lack of lsd?

Someone?

Re: Donuts

I haven't tried and I'm not going to, but I really don't think I'd have a problem, before or after my LSD swap.

What does your car do when you try, not that I condone the practice?

Did you turn off the VDC system?

Re: Donuts

Did you try tempting the car with a nice cup o' joe? I hear that donuts and coffee go really well together...Maybe you want to set a cup of coffee in an empty parking lot and aim the ol' G right at it, then try to perform the maneuver with the cup as centrally located in relationship to the first donut as possible...Or maybe really go the extra mile and pour some Starbucks all over the pavement in order to REALLY seduce your G...I also hear the police are attracted to donuts, so be on the look out

Re: Donuts

It doesn't like coffee. I went ahead and tried milk. LOL. I liked your post SnMDesignStudio.

VDC was off, but it seemed that the outer wheel would spin and the inner wheel would not and the car then just wanted to make a huge circle. I am guessing on the wheel spinnage though.

Re: Donuts

Sounds like you're a victim of a lack of LSD then.

Re: Donuts

This may also be the evil VDC at work. When turned 'OFF', Traction Control is disarmed (allowing the tires to light up), but Yaw Control Braking is still active at a higher threshold point.

Pull the VDC fuse and try it again ... let me/us know how it worked out.

Re: Donuts

That's awesome, I guess I wasn't going far enough into the throttle. I will give it another try. Thanks.

Re: Donuts

DONUTS!! Now that my car has more then 1200 miles I decided to drive a little more aggressive. I went to a large parking lot by my place, I was moving about 15 mph and turned the wheel 100% and hit the gas. The car did a 180 - so I kept my foot on the gas and the X did the tightest donuts I've ever seen! So I proceeded to make nice little crop circles or donuts all over the parking lot. Man this car is great in the snow!!

If it's a G it's 4 me!
