I bought my G with 8k on it and the dealer said that it has lojack installed but thats all they know. They state that the original owner has all the information from it.

My question is, where would it be installed so I can find it and maybe get the numbers off the unit so I can get my ins. discount? I know the discount is not much but every little penny saved helps here in the bay.

I called the lojack ppl and they will not tell me anything without me paying them some retarded 2nd owner fee. If I pay them the fee just to get a discount then whats the point? I won't be saving any money in the end.

I just want the ins. discount, I don't even care about the lojack. I mean honestly, if the car gets stolen, I hope they never find it. Who really wants a stolen car back anyway after it's been violated and abused by car thiefs.

Does anyone know where it would be installed at?

If you have Lojack you need to have it activated and then they will give you a certificate that you are the new owner and the system works. You need to ask your insurance company if you get a discount if you have it. If they say yes then you will need to fax them the certificate and they will give you the discount. If they say No then forget it.

 

there is a high commission on lojack. so you just have to call around and haggle and a installer has to come to your car to WAKE UP the unit.
