Cell phone placement problem
Re: Cell phone placement problem
DKnibb - I actually do the same thing with the headset, but sometimes it bugs me to have it sitting in my ear all the time. Good thoughts about safety though.
Velcro is not a bad idea though.

Re: Cell phone placement problem
ctxca,
I feel ya. Having the earplug in your ear does take away form the Bose system but I get all my phone calls and I have both hands free whenever I need to address any unexpected driving situation.
Thanks

Re: Cell phone placement problem
My PDA phone has speakerphone built in, so I find that really handy when I'm driving. Loud-a$$ ringer, too. Next time you swap up phones, consider it as an option (speakerphone).

Re: Cell phone placement problem
i put my phone in the ashtray and set it on vibrate.. i usually hear the rattle of the ashtray when someone is calling... if that doesnt work, just try geobau's asuggestion of setting the phone on vibate and placing it between your legs.. =)

Re: Cell phone placement problem
I just got a phone mount bracket from panavise. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks great. Custom made for the G35, it is made of aluminum and painted black. You can then bolt any phone or pda bracket to it. I am mounting my Ipaq pda to it for GPS navigation. I will follow up with pictures after the install is done. Check it out here: http://www.panavise.com/nf/comm/inda...28902353860876
Re: Cell phone placement problem
I tried the Panavise model and didn't like that fact that it was mounted too high and looked out of place. It also vibrated slightly. I ended up happy with the Proclip model that attached lower and much more securely (without any screws!).

Re: Cell phone placement problem
Here's a solution for the Verizon Motorola phones. This is the factory car kit with a special Infiniti part bracket.

Re: Cell phone placement problem
RacerX-- That "special Infinity part bracket" is a Panavise Indash. I found that it was too high, vibrated a little, and the wires coming out from it were hard to hide. YMMV.....
