Cell phone placement problem

This may be a stupid question to some of you, but here is my dilemma. When I drive I listen to music, too loud to hear my cell phone. If I wear my phone in my pocket or on my side and have it on vibrate, I can't feel it unless the car is not moving. My solution with previous cars was to place a mount of some sort somewhere on the dash. That way, I hang my phone on it, then while I am driving, I can see it light up if I get a call. My problem is I don't see any place to hang it in my G. The dash doesn't really have any empty areas. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas they can give? By the way, I'm in sales, so I drive alot, and my phone is my work phone so I shouldn't be missing calls.

I also set my phone in my cup holder or the compartment where the DVD/Navigation system is supposed to go. Since I don't have the Navigation system, there is an extra storage compartment. Since you are working, maybe you could turn the stereo volume down?? =:-)

Have a look at this option from Proclip. Another model is on their website (www.proclipusa.com).

Re: Cell phone placement problem

I throw it in the cupholder or ash tray... one of my phones is slim enough that it fits in the ash tray perfectly. The one one's a huge PDA phone, so it goes in the cup holder. Or just put in on vibrate and stick it between your legs. That's sure to get your attention.

Re: Cell phone placement problem

According to the owners manual, the slot in the dash on the passenger side (right behind the phone mount pictured in noremac's post) is for a cell phone. My cell phone does fit in there (it has to be a slim phone to fit). Only negative is it is on the passenger side but it is workable (not a problem in Japan!!!). Note the power jack is also righ next to this slot.

Re: Cell phone placement problem

I mounted my phone to the ashtray. Works great except when I'm in first (6MT).
