Don't know how fast this is, but I don't think there are any problems you should be worried about on the 06 sedan. They pretty much worked out all the kinks by that year. How much are they asking? Was this a trade-in or a loaner car?
Hopefully you're still at the dealer and this helps.
I've been on the forum for about 4 months and bought my 05 about a month ago based mostly on the info I found on g35driver. The only significant problem seen by a few people is that a small percent of motors (<5%?) have developed an oil consumption problem. It also seems, however, that Infiniti understands the problem exists and replaces these motors free of charge.
There are other little quirks, some complain of interior rattles, clicks in the drivetrain etc but I've never had any of these issues. If you have a chance, go on www.infinitihelp.com, go to the owners section and you can check out other known problems (Recalls, TSBs etc.)
Good luck with your purchase. I'm still thrilled with mine.
Oh and make sure you realize that the car is a gas hog. Most barely get 20mpg.

If it were me, i would pony up a bit more cash and get an 07. More power and a better interior. if your not in a rush, give it a couple of months and the dealers will be aching to get rid of the '07's
dood get an 07. forget about the first gen when the 2nd gen is sooo much better. Just wait it out until the 08's get in
