I was wondering if kbb rated my 06 G35x trade in value at $25,000 and i have a couple mods which is listed in my sig, how much would the dealership take of from the value of my car.
I will be taking out the UTEC though.. anyone have a idea please

I traded my 6MT in about a month ago with 7K miles on it.

I went to the Infiniti where I bought it and they only wanted to give me 23K for it. They wouldn't budge an inch. Obviously I am not going to take 23K for a car that is still a virgin.

I ended up going to a few different places and the best I could get was 26K. I ended up losing about 3K since I still owed 29K.

They do not like seeing mods on cars when you are trading them in. They always say they have to put the car back to stock to sell it and that will end up costing them more money.

My advice would be to sell your car to a private party, or look for a small non-chain dealership, they will often give you more for your car than a bigger dealership will.

How about just take the parts off and sell them used. That way you will get the most out of the dealership and make some money on the side.

+1 sell your modds seperately and then go for the highest amount possible on your trade but I would take the extra time and sell the car private party since the 2nd gens are out dealerships will make it hard to get the most for your car.

I agree. The dealerships will try to use your mods to reduce what they give you then turn around and try to get more from it with the mods.

I have seen Stillen parts installed a new G35 sitting at the dealership here in VA.
