Rev-matching retrofit for 2003.0 5AT?

IIRC, the 05 and up AT Sedans include rev-matching for downshifts. Is there any way I can retrofit my 2003.0 5AT Sedan with rev-matching? Is it just software?

I don't think you can do this. I'll "guess" the tcms are totally different.

How are you going to swap a TCM from inside the car to one inside the tranny? If it were even possible, I'd say you would have to swap the entire tranny. Then figure out the wiring mess.

Just me showing my noobitude when it comes to the guts of these cars. I just figured if there was a way, it might be cheaper than upgrading to a newer car.

Well I noted you have an 03. I think the TCMs are external until they have the rev match versions in 04.5 or so.

But I DID see a post here about a company that does software upgrades to our TCM. It's about $700 though

it would be better to either get a 6 speed tranny, or just get a car that has one.

How much would a tranny swap run?
