Loose Rattling sounds + Aftermarket rims...will the dealer touch my car?

I have a lease and a loose rattling sound that sounds like its coming from the front left wheel area and I have aftermarket rims so If i go to the dealer to ask them to check it out will they even touch my car because I have aftermarket wheels?

take the car to the dealer they can not turn you away just because they see aftermarket rims on your car. If the car is under warranty they have to pen point the problem to being caused by the aftermarket item first. They may qoute you an outrageous price to fix it but you do not have to let them do the repairs. Not only that I can not think of any rattling sound that would come from having aftermarket rims it could be a rock caught in your brake pad, your struts, etc...

it may be the little nut that keeps your valve stem in place. i got rims 2 weeks ago and the second day, i heard this tic tac rattling from my front left and rear wheels. i took it to the place they installed the wheels and sure enough, the little nut had come lose. if you hear the rattling only at low speeds, like 2-3 miles an hour, that might be it. of course, when you drive faster, the centripetal force pushes the nut to the walls of your tire so you don't hear it. just a thought. good luck.

I had a sound like that two different times. The first it was one of my wheel bearings. They replaced it under warranty even with my aftermarket wheels. The second time it was a front steering spindle which I had to pay to fix. They would not fix that one because I had aftermarket brakes, sway bars, coil overs, etc. Too many things that could have helped cause the problem and I agreed with them.

^ What are the specs on your wheels, size, offset and width of your tires? Are you still riding on the stock suspension?
