I wanted my Tanabe exhaust to sit a bit higher because the rear muffler hangs pretty low. We cut 3/4" off the two hangars on top of the muffler. The tip barely rest up against the Nismo rear now (will pick up some heat tape to put between tip and lip, thanks for the suggestion Chris - g35papa!).
Huge thanks to Dave (OH6 G35) for cutting/welding at 6am this morning so I could get back home to spend the day with the fam...LOL.

I have a 05 g35x sedan and I was going to get a magnaflow 14815 muffler also a 5/16 plenum spacer and some megan racing test pipes.
I was wondering if that muffler will fit my sedan and also what is the HP gain with all those mods? Will I have to do anything else to car?

Here's my post about the muffler in this same thread:

I have some to add to the collection.
These are videos with just the Magnaflow Muffer (#14815), no other exhaust mods. I also had a Z-tube/Popcharger, no spacer.
I made these videos on 9/2, which is a couple of days after I had it installed. It's a little quieter now that it's broken in, but I'm still happy.
1st and 2nd videos were recorded with my phone (2nd one being a little crappier in sound quality because I had chosen a different setting).
3rd was with my Kodak P&S camera, mounted on a tripod anchored in my backseat. (Windows were all down, basically, hence the annoying wind).

I think thats what Im going to do just add a 14815 muffler onto my 05 g35x except instead of welding it on couldn't I just directly replace it? Also I was looking to get plenum spacers and where I am its relatively cold so would a Iso thermal copper one be the right one? Motordyne ofc is the brand. I heard test pipes are bad but some say their good what do you think?
