Hi guys,

Anyone know of any spots in Western Canada that still stocks exhaust parts for 06 Sedan?

Thanks in advance,
Adam

Art Pipes, Circuit Werks resonated Y-pipe, Tanabe Medalion exhaust:

Ended up swapping out the Tanabe muffler for a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. Almost completely eliminated the steady 70 mph drone and cut the tip in drone at freeway speeds by at least half. Much easier to live with now. Have to get a video of how it sounds now.

Do you get evap codes with it fully removed?

Does anyone have a sound clip of a Magnaflow exhaust, just the muffler? I have an 06' X with a Stillen II my muffler itself is bad, there is a loose baffle in it, and it rattles bad. So my only option now is to purchase a magnaflow dual in dual out muffler.....! Anyone...?

Manzo M2 stainless mid-pipe/axle-back, the rest of the exhaust is stock.

Part number if anyone is interested: CBS-IG024D

2004 G35 Sedan OEM Exhaust system..

I was wondering if anyone is keen to get rid of their OEM exhaust system that is lying around after getting replaced by an aftermarket system. I am looking to replace the muffler, resonator and the Y pipe in my 2004 BASE Sedan.

I am at zip code 20850

Please let me know through a PM..

Best,
Narayan

You should probably add your location to your post. That way you aren't getting PMs from people 2000 miles away and ending up with excessive shipping costs.

I have an 06'X with a Stillen II on it. My muffler is shot a baffle is loose inside of it, Stillen wants me to purchase w whole new Exhaust, not gonna do that. Does anyone have any options on what I should do? BTW buying just a muffler from Stillen is not gonna happen as well. Help Please!

Take it to a local exhaust shop and ask them to replace the muffler. They will have recommendations on specific mufflers and since the system is stainless steel, it won't be hard to find a shop that can do it.

Magnaflow makes a really good muffler for the G sedan I just can't remember the model number.

Edit: read these 2 threads, muffler sounds very good...

If you want volume, Magnaflow and Dynomax have straight through designs that are probably similar to the Stillen. If you want to quiet it down a bit but not lose power, the Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler works well.

Big thanks for putting this list together G35Papa, listening to them makes all the difference.

I'm sort of looking for that unicorn system that is affordable, sounds great and isn't just obnoxiously loud. I think I'll end up going with the Tanabe Medallion.

It does seem to get good reviews.... https://low-offset.com/infiniti/best...ng-performance

The Tanabe has a lot of drone so be prepared for that. The unicorn system exists but at less than 30 produced they're nearly impossible to find for sale. It's the Motordyne VQ for the sedan. Keep your eyes peeled for one for sale but don't get your hopes up.

The drone is pretty bad with the Tanabe, which is why I replaced the resonator and muffler in mine. Volume wise, it is pretty quiet. But the drone at 2500 rpm (which is 70 in 6th gear) is pretty obnoxious.

If I had to do it again, I'd have had the local performance muffler shop build me a 3" system with the Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonator and a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler. Would have been cheaper in the end.

The Megan system for our cars is supposed to be the quietest aftermarket system but when I ordered it almost two years ago the company didn't have any in stock (though it showed it was in stock on their website) and its apparently out of production now. That's how I ended up with the Tanabe instead. Quality of the system is really good but like I said the drone is pretty bad. Plus the resonator and muffler neck down to about 1 1/2" inside.
