Are they suppose to just replace my brake pads and/or brakes?

Re: Infiniti 36,000 Brake Question

It only covers the front brakes. Brakes= Rotors & Pads

In reply to:

To ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction, Infiniti is launching a program to provide brake maintenance (as detailed below) on your G35 sedan or automatic transmission equipped G35 coupe for 3 years from the original in-service date or 36,000 miles on your odometer, whichever occurs first, at no charge to you. This program is only available through an Infiniti dealership.

For 2003 or 2004 Infiniti G35 sedans or automatic transmissions equipped G35 coupes, this brake maintenance program covers brake pad and/or brake rotor replacement (or turning as appropriate) performed by your Infiniti dealership (only) when required because of wear during the program period. This program applies for 3 years from the original in-service date or 36,000 miles on your odometer, whichever occurs first.

Okay, where does it say "front brakes only"?

Re: Infiniti 36,000 Brake Question

The letter I got says brakes it doesn't say anything about front or back... actually last check my back brakes were more worn than my front... which makes me question their measuring device because I have never in my life heard of that happening.

I traded in my 94 Probe GT with 97K miles and it still had the original rear brakes on it. Of course that was a standard

Re: Infiniti 36,000 Brake Question

what I'm more worried about is whether they'll be coming up with an new type of pad/rotor combo so that we'll have a somewhat regular wear period on our brakes AFTER the 36000 mile mark.....

Re: Infiniti 36,000 Brake Question

How much did you have left on the brakes?
I have about 30% on the front and a little more on the back
Thanks

Re: Infiniti 36,000 Brake Question

Supposedly, they already have a new pad material that they're using to replace the brakes with.

A friend with a late model VW New Beetle, had the same thing, rear pads wore out before the front!

Re: Infiniti 36,000 Brake Question

You must factor in that the VDC uses the rear brakes for the traction control action. That is probably why your rears were worn more than the front. you going to have to lay off the throttle
