I dont get it. What are these commercials trying to say when they say "When did it start for you?"

The introduction of the first Z car created a huge following when first introduced, that grew larger with every succeeding generation of the Z.

So I guess the question is "When did your passion for the Z start?" or more broadly, "When did your passion for fast cars and racing start?"

You would have REALLY 'not gotten it' back when Infiniti started advertising as a new company. If you remember, they didn't even show any cars! LOL!
I think they lost a lot of potential clients when most people didn't even know what they were trying to sell.
