What makes them track wheels anyway ?

car has since been lowered and now looks damn good to me
They're called "track" wheels because they come on the Track trim level of the 2003-2004 350Z.

I'm sure your girl's replica wheels are great and they look sporty but cmon the track wheels are forged 18lbs rims that are made by Rays (same makers of Volk rims). They're basically the OEM version of the TE37.

Here they are painted Volk "time attack" style.

I didn't even notice that you didn't have the Nismo sides. Your ride is clean man.

The track wheels look pretty good IMO. Gunmetal if you're going with the Nismo wheels.

OK I figured it had to be a weight savings. They look great on the Z, but just average on a G to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if those replicas weighed in at 24 lbs+ each. Which is about the weight of an oem G/Z 18" wheel. 6lbs diff off of each wheels is significant especially for a 18" wheel. Hell my coupe 19s are approx 20lbs each.

Man, if that dude painted the lip white to match the car, it would look alot better IMHO

apparently they're not that much in demand. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...223035462&rd=1

I emailed the guy, he has another set he'll do for 1000 shipped/paypaled. I guess the lack of demand is really driving the prices down.

show me a set of 19" wheels brand new that have the quality and lightweight of a Rays wheel for around $1000 and then that statement would be true.

Love the current set up, i would paint the Track wheels Time Attack style. that would be the hottest & cheapest option(tires for 19's are mad $$$, i'm runnin' on M45 19's). BUT if you MUST part w/them I WANT ur track Z's for my Wifey's ride!!!
