quick question...i keep hearing a rubbing noise on the front left wheel. i jacked the car up looked under but no sign of rubbing..the funny thing is...well not funny...but it only does it when i start the car even when the car is warm...still when i start the car again it makes that sound again..the dealer say's its normal because of the ABS..but if it was normal it would make the same noise on the right side also..i think the noise has to do with the rotors but they work fine....any tips...will help..THANKS..

 

Sounds like ABS check...usually happens after the car's been sitting a while and around 10mph.

 

yaeh only when i gas it is wen it does that noise...about 3 to 7ish mph...but thanx im still taking it in for check up...

 

I have that problem too, it's on the front left and it only happens right after I start the car and start to drive. As soon as 5-8 mph it's like a type of scratchy/clunk then it's gone. I also feel it through the accelerator a little bit when it happens. After that it doesnt happen at all and at first I thought it was brakes or suspension but the car drives fine. It's annoying because it's totally audible when I start to drive off and it sounds like crap.

 

I have the same problem. No clue what it is.

 

its normal it happens on my 04 AWD and my 06 6MT, its the abs check, it comes from the left bacause the abs pump and brake cylinder and all that stuff is on the left side above the wheel,

 

Thanks for informing us, I was kind of worried but now it's just one more thing we know about our cars...
