my 06 AT sedan make a wierd kinda of mechanical fart right after i push the gas for the first time after starting the car in drive. also sometimes on the first turn i make.

My coupe does that all the time. Even when VDC off.


try stopping quick at the hight speed see if you can duplicate the sound.

when anti lock engages it makes that sound.

Its normal. Vehicle safety system check...your ABS self diagnosing itself.

yeah it sounds like the ABS self test. I guess thats what its called. It sounds like a fart and it'll do it after driven for a few yards. Mine does it usually when I'm making my first left turn which is about 90 feet from my house.

 

Is it really that loud? I can tell my car does the ABS test, but its not loud enough to bother me or even notice it sometimes. The only loud noise would be from me in the morning~

 

well mine sounds like "fart boing!!!" lol,,something like that, and yeah,,, its kind of loud if I don't have the radio on.
