I knew at the time it was crazy, but I could not resist. Coming up to
a stop light, I see a Corvette in the lane next to me and in front of me.
I pass him and had to come to a complete stop. He slowed down and
let me pass and stop. The light turns green and he gunns it from a roll
behind me. Of course he had the advantage of not being stopped.
Well, I floor it and the Stillen is screaming. We both took it up to
50mph or so as we were coming up to another stop light. The vette
never got past 3/4 car lengths ahead of me. When we both slowed
down and I did pass him, he never even looked over at me. What
a POS! Anyway, I felt pretty good about my "little" G35 Sedan
staying with the "big boy". Ha!

saw a vette today too.....lined up next to him at a stop light........light turned and green and guess what happened? NOTHING!! we just went our merry ways i believe it was the c06? cause of the quad tailpipes, looked mean with them slotted rotors......

Well I have both a G35x and a Corvette C5 ZO6 you need to be specific about which Vette. They currently are in their 5th generation. C1, C2, C3, C4, C5. A 97-2004 C5 should do 0-60 anywhere from 4.2-4.9 depending on what magazine you read. And a C5 ZO6 will do that in 4.0-4.5 seconds.
I think the G35 will do the same in 5.8-6.5 again depending on which magazine you read.
So the difference between the worst time for a C5 or the best time for the G35 would only be about 1-3 car lengths getting to 60. He might not have been the best driver in the world or not fully on it too. But if you were going against a good driver in a ZO6 he would have been to 0-60-0 before you would have hit 60.

 

Please don't tell me it was c5 vette.
IF you say YES, I will slap you for lying.
If you are serious, I'm sure Vette driver wasn't racing you, dude.
