FAIL ON GENERAL MILLS! My box of Lucky Charms has 107 horseshoe marshmallows, but only 103 green clovers!
Anyways, I broke a clip on my shift **** in another car once. I just used a hoseclamp to tighen it down with aspirations of getting a new clip. As soon as I put the shifter boot back on, I forgot about the clip and continued to drive the car for another 3 years.

Going to O'Reilly and getting an assorted pack of window clips just worked for me...thank you for the tip!
