1.) Axle click (fixed under warranty)
2.) Some rattles (only started after I stiffened up my suspension and tracked the car)

Nothing else besides that.

Had to replace my NAVI screen lift motor (something like that). Darn thing would rise, and go back down. Fortunately, no cost to fix that as it was a known issue.

I am also experiencing that annoying rear window creaking sound. Only had this car for a month and my full warranty expires in May 09 so I will be getting that fixed soon since there is a listed PSD for this problem.

I've been searching all the PSD's Infiniti has online and have also found the one for the seek/search button sticking on the BOSE system which is another annoying problem I have. So far that's it. Guess I am lucky so far as I have not had any engine, brake or axle issues (yet)....

1. stuck passenger seat twice (once was my fault)
2. broken passenger seat cushion from above
3. Fast front brake wear (03 problem) fixed w/ free pads and rotors 2x! =)
4. window rattle fixed with Honda Shinetsu grease from my s2k =x
5. Fast shock wear (car is stock height), replaced at 45k miles.

thats pretty much it i don't have navi, but do have premium and sport pack.

Honestly this is normal/common place on a lot of vehicles. This would happen on my old Jeep liberty as well as a few rental cars that I've had. Move to another pump and the problem goes away every time. Just remember which pump at your local station you have problems with and stay away from it.

Edit: Apparently Infiniti did something about this and they have a few TSB's for it. I always thought it was the pump (honestly I still do, but it is good of Infiniti to do something about it)

The fuel filling issue is that sometimes the pump seems to think the tank is full and the nozzle shuts off. Its random but can make filleing her up a very time consuming affair.
There are two TSBs out there that your problems probably fall under.

Associated technical service bulletins:
G35 (V35) 03-07

SB 2003-2005 G35 and FX; Fuel Tank Difficult To Fill At Times
ITB05031

IF YOU CONFIRM The fuel tank is intermittently difficult to fill. ACTION Replace the shutter valve inside of the fuel tank. See this bulletin for further detail.

SB Infiniti; Hard to Full Fuel Tank
ITB08041

IF YOU CONFIRM The fuel tank is difficult to fill more than ½ (filling nozzle continues to click OFF when the fuel tank is more than ½ full), ACTIONS Install the Cut Bracket (cover) onto the Fill Limit Vent Valve (FLVV) inside the fuel tank. See this bulletin for further detail.

The only "common" problem I have had was the "back window rattle" that was fixed under warranty.

Other than that fixed under warranty:

Replaced lower back seat cover (ONE stitch came loose)

That's all

If you haven't been conditioning your leather from the start, there's likely no fix for your problem. Clean and condition what you have to keep it from geting worse. Do it at lease twice a year, better four times a year.

Damnit, this is my specific issue
Where were you when I was still in the states. They won't warranty anything here
They are afraid to touch a US version Skyline here

Maybe I should get a few of these TSB's together and complain to the head honcho's out here. My other TSB issue is the Throttle body issue. If I'm doing 35 or so, the auto will shift to 5th gear and the whole car shakes like crazy. It is really bad when going up hills. For now I just manually shift it. It sucks none the less.

05 coupe with 33k miles...

rear axle click
passenger side door lining falling off
driver side door lock actuator broke
streak of oil on driver side window

last thursday my car spontaneously died on the highway, real scary. it's most likely the throttle body went bad as it is a common problem with our cars.

this is my 2nd g35 so i knew going in that these cars weren't on par with honda or toyota reliability, but i just love the way it looks and sounds so much that i guess i just deal with it.

the car is in a private shop right now though and i may have to risk driving it to an infiniti dealership 40 miles away to get my throttle body warrantied, hoping it won't stall out while im on the highway. so i am not really a happy camper right now.

Hey, Texas, thanks for the tip. I have cleaned/conditioned it 3 times since I bought it last year. Perhaps I 'll condition more often to bring the oil back.
I do live in colder climate so the heater is on more often- this of course
shortens the life of the leather.
