HELP!! Seeing smoke inside!!!

I was on the freeway and i accelerated to >80 mph and suddenly I smell something burning and then a faint smoke white in color started appearing around my stearing wheel. When I slowed down it stopped. Engine temp was where it should be. Popped the hood and everything seemed fine. Recently had an oil change about a month ago. I'm guessing it's electrical.

has this happened to anyone else? Pls chime in so I have some ideas before i bring it in to the stealership.

if your oil was changed a month ago.. any spilled oil would have burned off already... check your hoses and good luck..

I don't imagine it to be oil because I would see smoke coming from the sides of the hood as well. Right?

Do you know if it was more of an electrical burn smell or an engine fluid (coolant, oil, lube) smell?

I can't think of any system inside the car that would only do that when the car was at higher speed. It sounds more like an engine thing to me.

Try having a friend look at your engine bay in the garage/street while you rev it up.

The mechanic who was working on your car probably dropped the joint he was smokin' at the time, behind your steering wheel. Or maybe it was yours and you forgot you were smokin' it.
