Front Lower Control Arm
Whats up everyone!! u guys are da bomb..ok for the serious part. I have an 03 G35 Sedan and i went in today to get my tires alignment and this **** is what pepboys showed me. They said i need to buy the front lower control arm so they can replace it. $300 for the ****ing whole arm. So my question is if i need to buy the whole arm or just the bushing piece. Here is a pic of it underneath my car. IF i do need to replace the whole arm then does any know how to do it or do i need a mechanic.

If your issue is an alignment one, and there is no visible cracks, warping or damage to your OEM ones.. then I would just change out the bushings and see what happens.
Ask the pepboys why they think you need the whole arm? See what info they give you. If you come right out and tell them you can just buy the bushings, they will give you some BS about the arms being out of spec or "worn". See what info they give, and ask them to show you.
P.S. where are you located?

So where around here can i get it installed or fixed if i buy the bushing. GT Motorsports recommended me to buy the whole arm because it will throw off the alignment if the bushing is not correctly put on. Plus they also told me it would cost close to the same as buying a new arm. ???? not sure i am going today to the dealer in Riverside to get a close look at the arm since they have it in stock. I looked underneat the car and doesnt look to difficult to change out the arm...the price is $230 for the arm. If i install myself i can save money. How much would a bushing and installation total cost would be?
