SES light - P0171 code

"System Too Lean (Bank 1)" What would cause this? Clogged fuel filter? Weak fuel pump? Dirty MAF? I really don't want to hurt my baby by driving it too much with this still a condition. Any suggestions?

I would get some fuel injector cleaner. I would change the fuel filter since it's cheap and I would clean the throttle body.

Since it's running lean I wouldn't drive it hard.

Just curious, where is the fuel filter located on the G35s? I remember reading there's only one and it's in the fuel tank? Not sure...

I was under the same impression. I thought it was a PITA to change.

did u get the fuel hose/indicator replaced through ther recall. Sometimes the sending units fail on the G... I would start there. That would explain the lean

Fuel filter is part of the in-tank pump assembly. I changed mine last year.

The best fuel system cleaner you can get (that I know of) is BG K44. Great stuff! It's ~$25 a can but well worth it. Many dealers use it and charge ~$100-150 a can.
