Not simular. My noise is more of a rattle or tapping...no clunking. The tapping usually starts above 25-30 mph on a unsmooth road surface which are quite prevalent in the city of Atlanta. I be tapping all day long.
I thought I had a nail or something in my tire the other day, kept hearing a tapping/clicking sound, turned out to be the center cap on my wheel was loose and slopping around.
my guess is that its the strut mounts. They go bad in the front end more commonly then anything else. I had a constant clunking and when i swapped out to 350z suspension i did the mounts. It fixed the problem for me.
any help with this?? This is exactly what I've been experiencing. Noise on driver side wheel area...It not only happens when driving over bumps and uneven surfaces, but it happens at certain times when I'm braking. There's no vibration or anything, I had my brakes and rotors replaced not too long ago so don't think it's any of that. It's sort of a tapping noise, it's driving me crazy and it is really embarrassing. If I brake for a long distance I can hear it at around 25mph or so, so what I've been doing is braking a lil harder than usual so I don't hear it much. When I'm stopped and I hit the brake pedal repeatedly I can almost mimic the sound, definitely coming from the wheel well area.

ok i have fixed my problem the clunk noise on my G wasn't the upper strut mount it was the compression rod that was bad which was clunking and creaking, it also fixed my vibration on the highway going over 110kmh or 65mph
might be your endlinks... mine went bad but visually looked good. the clunky noise happened when going over bumps at low speeds.. once i would hit higher speeds in the frwy or w/e nothing happened.. for me it seemed like the suspension was loose or something. but the endlink was just bad.
but it could also be your control arm bushing.. those tend to go bad.
