coolieman1220, thanks for the tip. I lubed with some WD-40 as a temp fix. So far so good. White lithium grease should do the trick - hopefully. Keeping my string around just in case.

Helpppp

My fuel door just flops around. The mechanism works fine but found that the little black clip/spring was broken at the hinge. Picked up a new one from the dealer for $6 but can't figure out how it goes on!!! Can someone please post a pic of your gas door open so I can see how the little black clip sits on the hinge??? THanks

03' sedan, 6sp manual....

Thanks for the quick solution. My just failed/stuck today at 69k. Unplugged the motor and will go the manual route as mine is either on the road or in the garage.

it gets a harder workout than you think... Every time your doors unlock it unlocks, and every time your doors lock it locks... So it gets the same workout as your power door locks
