So far ive ate up a Mustang Cobra, somehow ?,
bmw 330c and a 2004 RX8.
The cobra was a real surpise but it might of been a GT 4.6 with cobra hood and emblem.

What can beat the G>? (( 2004 sedan 6MT w/ Jet chip ))

 

No cobra(any year) is slower than G.
It must be v6 with dual exhaust or turd 98~94 GT.

97-2003 BMW 540i is doable. I ran one yesterday off the light, jumped a carlength on him in first, stayed the same in second and he slowly started reeling me in on 3rd, this is where I let off the gas. Mine is 5AT, i assume so was his.

The only way I see the Cobra being beaten is if the driver was pathetic and wheelspan the whole way and you had a great launch.

On the STREET people PROVE NOTHING.
1. If he wins he proves nothing
2. If you win you prove nothing

On the street you are testing the DRIVER just as much as the car. If one car wins or the other, what was the reason for the outcome? Was it the driver or the car? You just don't know and there's no way to prove it either.

TRACK is the only place to test cars and prove a TRUE RACING. Because :
a. Precise R/T measurement.
b. Precise launch measurement (60' time)
c. Precise speed and ET measurement all the way down the track.

Point well made and well taken, Gmaster - and nobody should race on the street; however, even on the track you are testing the driver just as much as the car, especially in the case of manual transmissions.

To enhance your point further, though, we must remember that people who race on a track are just better prepared overall, with their car being safety checked and in as good condition as possible, and the driver being aware/alert and in top preparation, also. The guy on the street may not have maintained his car so well, which would result in a hollow victory for you over an inferior car, and also could cost you your life if the other guys car has a critical part fail at speed.

No doubt track racing is the safest, most controlled and FAIR conditions under which to race, and like Gmaster says, you'll have time slips and documentation for your results. Street racing is not cool.

ya...at least people on the track actually knows that they r racing...some people on the road assume that everyone's racing with them =) my cousin is one of them...blow off people for no reason when he "thought" they were racing

 

Alright the Cobra must have been a look-a-like but the Bm330 and the Rx8 were for sure. Rx8 is only 195 horse.
