Angry Need Help please

hey, check this out, i got my first car 2 weeks ago. it's a 2004 G35x 70k, sweet ride.

I look thru other thread and didn't find a possible solution !

this morning after taking my daughter to the daycare, parked for 5-10 minutes, when I got back to the car, it wouldn't start.

Detail: The dash, overhead, radio, HUD all turns on, but it wouldn't start. nothing happens when i turn the key, just a click sound.

I locked it, unlock it with the fob still nothing, <the alarm light it on with its unlock>

please I needed to move the car or else it will get towed.

Thanks in advance !

this might sound silly_ the battery can be dead but the lights and the radio works? (never owned a car before so bear with me)

yes it can....it takes more juice to turn over the engine, just get a jump and go get it replaced.

the battery could be dead. Try a jump. Or since you mention the alarm light, the ign disable could be on still. Maybe a low battery would do that.

A dead battery is probably correct. However, here are a couple more things to check:

1. Is it in Park (if it's an automatic)? Turn the key to on, put it in Drive, and then back to Park to be sure. If it has a manual transmission, are you pressing the clutch all the way to the floor before attempting to start it?
2. It could be the starter. A click means the starter solenoid is working but if the engine doesn't even attempt to turn over, the starter could be bad.
3. Do the interior lights dim when you try to start the car? That points to a dead battery.

You have any warranty left? Infinti has roadside service and loaners.
