Squeaky sound coming from rear seat area

Hey everyone, i just purchased an 05 Sedan 6MT completely loaded.

The car has the Bose system, Navi, Black leather, Moonroof.. its got everything.

When i pull into a driveway that has an angle (shopping centers ect.) i get a squeaking sound from the rear of the car. Obviously i cant sit back there while this is happening to find out where the sound is coming from. It sounds like the leather is rubbing against the plastic trim pieces but im not completely sure.

Has anyone else experianced this problem? How was this fixed?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, that is a known issue and there is a TSB on that, ITB05-034. You can find the link at: http://x.infinitihelp.com/forum/loca...d&pp=10&page=4

I have the same problem and yes, it is annoying to hear that. I have yet to get mine fixed but plan to real soon (along with several other TSB's issues).

This sounds like the "loose nuts on the cross braces" problem I had with our '05. There are diagonal braces on the metal firewall (I know, wrong end) behind the rear seat. Tightening the related bolts should stop this irritating creak. Here's a link that shows step by step rear seat removal, even though the goal of the thread is a different rattle...

Once you have the seatback out, look for bolts/nuts behind the sound insulation and apply some torque.
Good luck!

I had the same problem and took mine into the dealer. They took said bolts out and put lock tight on them and reinstalled them and haven't heard it since.

As I mentioned above, I finally took my '05 G Sedan to the dealer last Tues to have the rear window noise fixed.

They also fixed the front compression rod noise, glove box light issue and rear axel click and I wasn't charged a penny!

What a difference these changes have made!!

Please help me!

I have an 05 G35 and I experience the same issue. I hear this squeaking sound near my sunroof when I enter a driveway at an angle. The click sound from the rear axial is also present. However, they said that my powertrain warranty expired last year (which I am not sure since I bought the car second handed). What should I do at this point? Can someone help me?

If you can't do the TSB yourself, pay the dealer or a shop to take care of it.

I do have a question tho. According to the TSB, isn't driveshaft covered under power-train warranty (read this under the warranty manual for 05)? If that is the case, shouldn't they cover this since my car is less than 6 yrs and 70.000 miles?

It isn't your drive shaft clicking, it's your axle. I would check your warranty to see if the axles are covered under the powertrain warranty. I had mine fixed under my regular warranty.

There is also a DIY here to fix it yourself. https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...xle-fixed.html

I would hear it whenever I was taking off from a complete stop.
