Yup.. The delay is awful, however, the more you use it, the more you can shift where you want by shifting a fortnight earlier... Despite the delay, I use it, and it's pretty decent on the whole. It seems to be, flat out, about 500rpm delay, so shifting at 6.5, change at 6, and you'll be on the nose, ish.

Apparently the grounding kits speed it up, but if they are a placebo I don't know. seem to be mixed reports.

I literally use it EVERYTIME I drive, which is everyday. I never drive in D anymore. Been using Tiptronic for a good year straight now. Over time, the computer learns how you drive ad the delay isn't as bad. I've done it so much that I've timed it out and know exactly when the car shifts so I time up the gas and when it gets into gear perfectly.

Do yourself a favor...get a GOOD set of grounding wires. Makes this car feel 100% better. Shifting in triptronic happens much faster and you don't feel a lag. Best bang for buck mod I've put on my car...must do for a 5AT.

GroundingGear kits are good...there is also a guy in socal making grounding kits. He's on a diff website. pm for more info...not sure but his might be cheaper and you'd get them faster then waiting for canada to get them here.

Haven't posted for a longgggggggg time.

I have Gordgee grounding wires myself but I really don't feel a difference at all. The G is my first automatic car and only had m/t before. When I first bought the G I try to use manual model and see if I can get used to it / adjust to it but the LAGS are just everywhere. Basically, I don't use manual mode at all except when I need to merge into the highway, then I put it in a gear so this way I can just downshift and go.

Other than that the transmission is fine but manual mode is a no-no. I swear to myself, my next car has to be M/T again (unless it's a van/suv).
