Another reason to get one minus the sunroof is that you get more headroom. I ordered my 2005 G35X without the sun roof, simply because I never used the ones in my previous cars.

but with the consideration of paying tax when he just bout the car, then again when he buys the new car, it will cost him much less to have an aftermarket one installed.

Sell it for a little more than what you paid and find one with a sunroof.

i personally cannot live without a sunroof. It was snowing tonight and i had my sunroof tilted open on the truck.

During the summer, mine is open 100% of the time, and when it rains i just tip it up. I looooove them. So i can understand where your comming from.

But i dont think id add aftermarket.

I agree. My previous car didn't have a sunroof and it killed me. I remember the first night I had my G, it was 35 degrees out, but i still had the sunroof wide open

I can't wait for summertime!

I am happy now because the new pickup my dad bought this year came with a sunroof, so now ANY time i drive one of our cars, i can open it!

Nothing like heading to the lake on a hot day with the boat, sunroof open, all windows down and some good music playing

GOD I CANT WAIT FOR SUMMER! WINTER SUCKS

Well my other car has a MANUAL sunroof. It flips up, but if i want to open it i need to get out of the car, flip it up and remove it by hand and stow it in the hatch.

Usually it's garaged and only driven on sunny days anyway...so i just leave it out.

A power sunroof is just spoiling me!

I'm sure i'll do more. I can almost garantee when i put coupe 19's on i'll say "Damn, my brakes are tiny" and then order the G37 BBK. Then comes the lowering springs and aftermarket suspension peices.....you'll see

I don't care. Car has a different purpose. Big engine, tons of torque, 2900 pounds, a manual transmission and 13" disk brakes all around = fun

yeah i've heard that the fox bodies can be tons of fun, my dads friend has seven, all built up differently... i guess if i owned a bunch of property and rented it out i could get into them... it's just the newer ones and their unreasonable popularity that bothers me.

to the OP; like i said, i think if you're seriously considering doing this, you should do a lot of research... and i don't mean just ask a bunch of people on your thread. go to a bunch of shops and ask whats involved. see what the different practices are shop to shop. ask the dealer. i would go so far as to take out a ad for feedback in the local craigslist.
