Being that I'm on a ECU reset binge - did you reset your ECU after the mods? There is a link somewhere on the forumn showing before and after reset times - the "after reset" times were better. I should have bookmarked the thread.

My track is in Carolina, PR. The Name is Carolina Speedway and the date was 01/10/09. I don't know how to get the track info though so I don't know the altitude and what not. PR is normally very humid as it is a tropical island but yesterday wasn't too bad.

As for the wheels...they are stock.

My previous car was a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP that bone stock ran exactly the same 15.0@92mph. The only difference is that with less than $1000 I ran 13.4@102mph...LOL. After that I added a nice turbo ( everything else stock ) and ran 12.6@111mph. Forced induction FTW!

I also came from the GM W-Body world. 98 Regal GS. I put literally 100 dollars into it (smaller S/C pulley, homemade intake, homemade U-bend Delete) and it ran a 14.3 on crap toyo grandpa tires. It had 115k on it and I think I paid like $5,500 for it. The reason I got a G was I wanted the same power, RWD, black leather, Nav and a 6mt.

He doesn't have any real power mods and tuning would only free up a few hp.

He needs to hold 3rd gear through the run and consider running at a different strip. Some tracks are faster than others.

The only other stip is hours away from me so that's not something that's going to happen soon. I will try to hold it in 3rd though and try different launching techniques next time. I just installed the test pipes so lets see what happens...maybe this week.

Thanks guys!

So theres no flashers or tuners out there that can give the Auto-g a more aggressive shifting profile? Kinda like the lexus is series "sport" button?

any one try going to the strip in the winter? like -20c or so?

temperature/pressure corrections for today's weather (102.8kpa and -17c, 65%hum., 173ft locally) would suggest a 13.6% gain. (using SAE J1349)

i've always been tempted, but don't even think the strips are open... or plowed.
