If they "Certified" it for free, then they made enough money on the actual purchase to justify it. No dealer is going to take a loss on a purchase, and they have to pay Infiniti for any CPO vehicles or Elite Plans they sell, so obviously there was some extra money on the table.Originally Posted by jmcohen23

is doest matter which state one buys the elite warranty plan right?
Everything's negotiable. I got my plan for what the dealer had to pay, or about half of retail. And where you get it doesn't matter, the warranty is through Infiniti. You can take it to any dealership in the country.Originally Posted by haagen_dazs

And I believe that the extended warranty is a huge money maker for the dealership. They seemed VERY interested for me to get one back in December when I got my 06. I still had a solid 2 years of warranty left though. I wasn't interested at that time.
There were definite price ranges that broke down accoring to how many miles were currently on the car. At the time, I think they were trying to sell me on 4 years (which would have been 2 years existing plus 2 years added). They wanted somewhere about $1500 - $1900, I think. When I wasn't interested, they offered it for about $1000, I think. I still had faith that anything wrong should happen within these two years. I passed.
