"Service Enigne Soon" light just came on.
is this just a maintince light or should this be check out rite away. i have a 2004 infiniti g35x

You can take it to autozone, they have a reader that will tell you what code its throwing so it gives you a better idea of whats going on.

That is the equivalent of a, "Check Engine Light." Basically Nissan's stupid CEL, which sounds more like maintenance. Definitely pull the CEL Code at Autozone or just take it into Infiniti if you're under warranty.

yeah just get it scanned at autozone and see what it is, could be something as stupid as a loose gas cap.

Let us know what they give you.

Could just be the gas cap but there are 1,000's of other possible issues too.
