Yes you'll hear it but it's useless for power.

Get the HFCs, look into Berks.

1" isn't much of a drop. If you want it slammed you don't measure how many inches you drop it...Marcus (CandlestickPark) started a new trend...measuring from the ground to the center of the fender arch. If you're anywhere between the 24-25" mark, you're slammed. Below 24" you're insane.

As for coilovers, how much are looking to spend and what do you want out of it?

Haha, did I really start that trend? I know I didn't make it up myself...LOL. With different body kits that hang lower than others, the fender to ground measurement is the most accurate way to tell how slammed you are compared to the next guy.

And yeah below 24" is insane, only a few guys in this category, Grant (Gdup35Sedan) and Cliff (dznuts) come to mind off the top of my head.

You were the one that started asking people about fender height, thus, you coined the measurement technique haha.

Just starting out in this forum. Recently purchased an '07 G35x Sedan with factory everything. I want to start adding mods to the car and am a female with minimal (read: only Google) experience on mods for cars. I would love to get some pics and suggestions on what to do with a liquid platinum sedan.

Just had a minor fender bender (dang MN snow) which is going to result in me replacing the front grille anyways, so thought this was a prime opportunity to start spicing her up. Thinking of a billet grille, overlays, front lip (forgive my lack of terminology knowledge), tints, open air intake, and deflectors. It will be a work in progress, but would love to have her looking good by next summer.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance. LOVE this!

well Ive seen lowering springs for 200 and up. I heard coilovers give the same lowered look but are adjustable and offer a smoother ride and cost much more. is it worth the increase tho. I just want my whip to ride lower

Coilovers will not only allow you to adjust, but they will allow you to go lower and adjust stiffness. If you want a nice stance on the car, it's definitely worth it and a must. Again, it all depends on how low you want to go and what the coal of your car is.

One thing about that form of measurement though, once you pull or flare your fenders, the mesurement changes. Like Levon's rear fenders are going to be a far different measurement top to bottom than a rolled fender.

What's up everyone. I'm looking to do an exterior mod once this snow is over and done with in NY. I have a lip spoiler and roof spoiler. Did the clear corner lights and tinted out my tail lights and windows. I was thinking of getting a front lip. Any recommendations on which one or any recommendations on a exterior mod. Thanks
