Euro Spoiler Install - Tape or Drill?

Hey all,

I ordered a euro spoiler from Grubbs today. Do you folks recommend installing it with the tape or drilling into the deck lid? I'm leaning towards the tape because I'd rather not drill. I'm just curious if the tape lasts.

What do you guys think?

3m tape is pretty sticky, how much does the spoiler weigh?

You should be fine using tape.

If its just a flat lip 3m tape should be fine. Just make sure you clean it well so the adhesive sticks well

3M tape should hold it pretty good

+1 You should consider putting lo-jack on the wing just in case too

I would drill. Make sure enough silicone is used to prevent leaking.

Unless it's a large spoiler or wing you should be okay with the 3M double sided tape.
That stuff is seriously uber strong.
If I ever decided to remove my spoiler (small UTR) I'd need to swap my trunk lid out with another one cause that mother ain't movin.

Drill. The stock spoiler is drilled. This isn't very different. DRILL.

It is was just a lip spoiler I would say use the tape.

Isn't a euro spoiler a lip spoiler? Like an M3?

Just tape that badboy on there. Use 3m superheavy duty tape, i hit 130mph with mine and it doesn't budge for anything. Just make sure you apply the tape practically everywhere especially the sides.
