2nd gear stall at redline

Did anyone had this problem in the auto? I use the manumatic shift today, and hit the 2nd gear to redline. However, it starts to stall, and eventually comes back when the rpm lower than the redline. anyone, please help...

Thanks,
Buche

Re: 2nd gear stall at redline

You hit the rev limiter.
It's there to protect the engine from over reving

Re: 2nd gear stall at redline

I freaked out the first time I hit the rev-limiter. Took it all the
way past redline and the rpm just dropped like a rock.
Sure is a nice safety feature.

You will find the sweet spot for shift points with time & practice.
The difficult part is that the shift seems to lag/delay more with load.
Generally I find that under WOT you need to shift at aprox 500 revs sooner than target shift point.
e.g.Under WOT to hit a 6500 shift point, make your shift @ 6000 rpm
