Coupe mid pipe, what year?

I'm thinking to either go with the Stillen Gen2 or HKS+Coupe mid. I've done some searches through the forums and the stickies here, but there really isn't anything specific about what year for the coupe mid pipe. I have an 05 Sedan and was wondering what year for a Coupe mid pipe should I be looking for.
I want to keep the droning down to a minimum and it seems that the Stillen Gen2 and the HKS+Coupe seems to be my best bet.
Thanks!

PS. If there's anyone here in the Phoenix area with either of those setups, I'd like to go on a ride along.

I don't think the year matters on the coupe middy. I can tell you about the Stillen, though.

Only years that I have seen verified to fit are 03-07 for the coupe mid-pipe.

Ok. I wasn't sure if there was a difference between the coupe years, since there was a change for us sedans (03-04 to 05-06), I thought that maybe the coupe followed as well. Thanks!

mid-pipe

The 05-06 mid-pipes were revised from the 03-04 and are compareable to the coupe middy's. So all you need is the HKS rear muffler section and you'll be good to go.

Good to know there aren't any fitment issues. Thanks for that info. But are there any benefits for my 05 going to a coupe mid?

Yes but very minimal, if you want to get it louder and meaner you should probably just get an HKS muffler.

Isn't the STILLEN gen 2 a catback? So wouldn't that be better than a Coupe middy + HKS?

Dual catback, actually.

"Better" is subjective. IMO it makes more power, yes. Plus it looks and sounds bad azz. (this one's for sale, see my sig)

Hey Swivel, are you selling because of the sound and droning? Would it even be worth shipping to US?

I'm with Swivel when it comes to "better". It depends on what you are looking for. For me it would be the sound with the least amount of drone possible. I know I'm going to get some droning, but I just don't want it to be overwhelming. Going through the exhaust compilation, it seems that the Stillen Gen2 and HKS were the "quietest" of the bunch (aside from stock).

Any aftermarket system is going to be drone-prone; this one is not what I'd call overwhelming, but it's definitely there between 1500-2500 RPM, and under load. I like the sound and can feel the power gain, it's just a little too loud in the cabin at times for me. I'm looking for something between this and stock; going to bolt up a Z middy and see how that works for me.

I haven't priced shipping to US but I could if you're interested...let me know via PM so we don't pollute the thread (though I guess it's your thread, so you can do whatever you want!)

If you have an auto, prepare for some pretty significant drone.

He's MT, makes it easier to stay in the sweet spot -- around 3k rpm.

Just installed my midpipe not 30 minutes ago on my '06. Exhaust tone became deeper and more coupe-like.
But, I still have the OEM muffler. so it doesn't sound exactly like a coupe.
There wasn't any fitment issues with me. When I was test fitting it, it looked like the pipe would rub against the drivetrain's fail-safe bar.
After trying to at least bolt on everything, I was able to get about a centimeter of clearance.
I've read other people bending this bar, or even the heatshield. I had no fitment problems at all.

Now, I'm looking into getting the HKS muffler.
