car overheated!!!
i searched and couldnt find any good info.
so i was driving today right when i got home my car temp guage went to max. and white smoke started coming out and looks like anti freeze spilled from under the car.
would that be the thermostat?? Please let me know what to check and what to look for. also i am like 1000 miles over the oil change could that have anything to do with it?? i had an appt for tomorrow for the oil change. the oil level is good just a little old. please any info or help is welcome!
thanx ahead of time!

Wait, what? Why would the problem be your thermostat or your engine oil? If coolant was spilling out from your engine, then definitely it would cause the white smoke you saw.
It sounds like you have a coolant leak somewhere. Maybe one of the coolant hoses fell off or there is crack in the cooling system somewhere.
You should first find out where the white smoke/leak is originating from, and then go from there.

How many miles? That might determine if the water pump was in need of replacement.
Don't drive the car with it overheating. Source the leak ( with it blowing out white smoke, I'd say it's leaking near somewhere hot ), repair it ( be it radiator or hose ), refill, and make sure to bleed the system.
I had to repair all the coolant hoses in an NSX, so the G35 can't be that bad.
It doesn't sound like headgasket. I'm not sure about G35s since I've only owned mine for about a month, but if there's a coolant overflow reservoir, watch for bubbles in the reservoir and check your oil when it gets changed by the shop to look for signs of contamination.
