Pop charger / Ztube

Could someone tell me why my neighbors Fx35 sounds meaner driving away than my G35x? I have been lookin to add this Z-tube and popcharger but was wondering if anybody has had problems with them, also if they really produce 10 hp combined any feed back would be very thankfull.

FX has different exhaust configuration, closer to the coupe. If you want a meaner sound you have a lot of options, but a lot of us have chosen top go with the coupe midpipe and the HKS muffler.

I would say get the z tube, but stick with the stock airbox with a high flow filter. The pop is prone to heatsoak which results in power loss not power gain. However, this is a popular item so be prepared for a wide range of responses.

^ +1. Looking below your name I see that you have an 05. Obviously your 05 midpipe is not making a mean enough sound for you. Try out the coupe middy (03-07) which can be picked up in the marketplace for relatively cheap and see if you like that instead. Then if you want to keep going just pick up the HKS Muffler. It really is the icing on the cake.

He has a coupe mid, weird feeling he has an HKS too.

The FX has the same exhaust as the Gcoupe, not a similar one. They sound identical.

the options metioned can give you a coupe/fx/m like sound. Others have coupled the coupe mid pipe with an 03-04 sedan muffler since theyre lighter than the 05 muffler as well.

the ztube and filter upgrade you don't hear until 3k rpm with heavy throttle. its an amazing sound in 3rd gear.

imo intake dont do much for our cars in terms of performance. the popcharger and the ztube sound pretty sickk, but it wont give you anything close to 10hp. Stillen and pop charger are one of the few that help a little.
imo jus get the intake that rookie made, or a fujita one. bling bling
