^^^ Elise is a good choice... I'm just not too sure about the mechanics of those cars or the serviceability (not sure as in not familiar -not that they aren’t reliable - maybe they aren’t reliable, I don’t even know).

I've always been a fan of Honda (and of course Nissan) and have had several of both... I've been happy with previous Acura’s -so I'd favor an NSX or even S2K as a track car.

I agree with Dave on pretty much everything, but i do disagree on one thing. A truelly stock car.

Now, i dont know about the rest of you, but stock Gs DO do something to me. An extremely clean, obviously well cared for sedan, albeit even on 17s on stock height, with some tint, cruising down the freeway on a nice evening WILL turn my head. IMO that is jsut so simple it just looks good.

Often times i have thought about completley de-modding my car and making it stock again. That look just appeals to me because IMO the car is gorgeous from the factory.

My car, even slowly lowered with 19" wheels doesnt turn heads. The only time people even bat an eye lash is when i ahve my front plate removed because then it doesnt look like every other car on the road.

I think next year when i sell my car and demod it, i will still enjoy it jsut the same stock as i did when it was done up. And i'm almost positive when i get my new car, i will ahve NO issues driving it stock for awhile until i can re-coupe enough funds to even buy some wheels for it.

I just like that look, but i'm weird. I am big into cruising, and i like comfortable cars. In all honesty, i could give a **** less about 0-60 times and 1/4 times as long as its adequate. If the car can travel smoothly at 100mph for long expanses of road like the autobahn, with an amazing sound quality sound system, i am just fine with it.

It's preference. Personally, I like aftermarket since OEM is not aggressive enough for my tastes. Not only that, I like custom. More money involved, but IMO, it's more of an eye catcher.

OEM parts are plentiful, cheap and they fit. Gotta have some aftermarket stuff though, because there simply isn't an OEM upgrade to things like plenum spacing, sway bars (technically you could go Nismo I guess), etc.

Plus 19" Rays are light strong, and look great on a sedan! That said, a lotta people doing all the same things. I'm going to have to come up with something unique over the winter I guess.

true - but a nicely done show and go > sleeper

I fully agree with all show no go... I know a lot of guys are like that - but I could never make a car look cool and fast and have it run stock or slower If you're gonna make it look fast - you better have made it fast first.

not to get on anyone's case or be a dick...

...so...ummmmm whats is so "sleeper" about a nismo kit on a sedan.....? its not like anyone races the sedan or have crap load of hp (beside some obvious like ttrank and a few others)

im just asking guys dont get mad at me, i just thought "sleeper" and "sleeper look" belongs on cars that look mainly stock and have 350+ hp?

other then that isnt "sleeper" = stock?

I think OEM is a good baseline...I think most aftermarket stuff is over priced...I don't see the reason that so many people go ALL OEM. Just stay stock.

the G is still faster than alot of cars on the road and if you happen to get in a race alot of times the G is gonna win and the other driver will be veryy disappointed i think is quite a sleeper when modded in moderation

There is no horsepower limit on a fast car... while it doesn't have to be the fastest car on the lot, it just has to be faster than the next one... and plus, having tons of horsepower doesn't necessarily help you go faster when you're in the mountains...

You're right, "sleeper" means stock-looking -- even or especially a base model -- but very fast. Now this is "sleeper":
