I was a little skeptic about fitment on this intake because it's originally made to fit a 350Z, here it is installed and it looks great and it sounds awesome, I've had AEM and K&N intakes before and this is by far 300% better in terms of quality and fitment.

What kind of filter is that? looks like foam? Is that reusable or disposable?

That heat shield looks pretty solid, this might be my next intake.

I got lucky, I bought mine from a guy on ebay, he bought it never installed it and then sold the car so it was brand new, I got it for $105 US shipped

Since it is designed for a 350z there is a small hole you have to drill on the heatshield bracket that comes with it, also you need a self drilling metal screw for the bottom heatshield bracket (the bracket that secures the heatshield from below) to secure it on to the frame rail, other than that it was a breeze!

I found a link where you can buy directly but it is $244.67 UK pounds which is roughly about $388.26US plus shipping which is pretty pricey, but most definitely worth it!

The filter is a two layer high volume patented foam, it flows 3X more CFM than a K&N cotton weave filter (hence the reason why I decided to go with this intake) and it is washable (lifetime warranty), the kit came with the cleaning instructions, installation guide and the spray to re-oil the filter after is cleaned.

Also, the heatshield on this kit is awesome, it is coated with insulating paint so the box stays as cool as it can, it reflects the radiant heat from the engine, after normal driving and hard driving the intake cone and intake filter do not get hot like other intakes I've had, so it works!

Like I said if I had to pick this is definitely the way to go.

 

DAMN! i want! the intake it self looks really cool, like a sponge haha just not a big fan of the chrome tube but its not a big problem at all, looks good!

 

Foam is the worst filtering media that intake makers have come up with so far. It flows well because it doesn't filter worth a damn. At least replace the filter with a dry type synthetic media unit.

I disagree, pipercross foam is a two layer unique foam that filters better than K&N, this media is the same they use on the formula one applications and racing filters, do more research on the filter and then make an educated comment, thanks

Not at all, I own an insurance agency in Florida, but I am extremely **** when about researching products before I buy, didn't mean to drag it all out, I just thought it would be cool to post it since I haven't seen anything on this forum about this particular intake.

 

Fine, show me some independant data that indicates this. I can throw up the filter test done on the MKIV forums that show foam is the worst. The HKS foam sucks bad.

But you do know they rebuild those forumula 1 engines after every race right?

btw I have been to the 01-04 US Grand Prix in Indy, sick cars and yes the do rebuild the engines but back then it was after practice, qualifying and the actual race.
