Vibration undernath car on passenger side of vehicle

Hey Guys.

A couple of days ago i started noticing a vibration coming from underneath the passenger side of the vehicle. You could hardly notice at all from outside, but once inside it was easily heard/felt. I jacked it up to see if i could find anything, and it seems to be the fuel line vibrating that's causing it.

My first thought is that my fuel pump is going bad ( car is at 94k miles atm), but I'm wondering if anyone has any other ideas of what might be causing the problem. I'll appreciate any help you guys give me

Most likely it will not be your fuel pump. Is it a thumping, or just overall roughness? When does it happen and where can you feel it? Going over bumps? Certain speeds? Just try to be more specific.

How is the wheel balanced? Is the fuel line actually moving when you touch it?

Wheel balance is fine, while driving the vibration isnt an issue. I can actually feel the fuel line shaking when i touch it. All the way back from the fuel tank to the engine.

When I start the car it doesn't do it, but after driving for a couple of minutes I start to feel it. I really only feel it when i'm stopped afterwards. As I'm driving you would only notice it if your sitting on the passgenger side front/rear seat at your feet.

Outside you dont notice it all, but its loud enough inside the car where as soon as you open the door you can hear it.

I've been having no problems starting the car, accelarating, or stalling while driving. So that makes me think its not the fuel pump like you said, but I'm out of ideas as far as what else could be causing the fuel line vibrate as much it is.

Thanks, for all your help guys. I went ahead and ordered the fuel damper... was planning on taking it to my mechanic to get it installed, but started flipping through the maintenance manual and it looks like it sits on top of the engine with the hose running down to the fuel line...is that correct? and does anyone have any tips or anything i should watch out for when replacing the part?

Hmm i have a vibration and rubber thumping noise coming from the front passenger wheel.. i just lowered my car on 350z/coupe springs.. so im pretty sure its a bad shock.. but it can also be a blown wheel bearing.. does the sound come from the tire/wheel? and can you hear it when ur inside the car? Also is it vibrating when ur car is parked?

I have this same exact noise. My wife's complaining about it is far more annoying but whatever.... The car was 500 miles past due for an oil change and I was dreading that I let it run low and what I was hearing was the valvetrain or something. I changed the oil and didnt burn much at all, thank God.

After doing the oil change I started the car and let it run for awhile on jack stands. The noise reminds me of hearing from a long distance a semi using it's jake brake. The sound cannot be heard from anywhere other than the inside. With the stereo and AC on its not too noticeable. I finally touched the fuel line nearest the outer passenger side of the car and determined where it was coming from.

Anyway, post up how this DIY is. Thanks guys.
